FRP rebars, your reinforcing solution against corrosion

When the properties of the steel become a challenge for the constructablility and durability of a concrete structure, think of alternative new materials such as FRP rebars (Fibre-reinforced polymer) like glass fibre or carbon fibre reinforcing bars.

FRP rebars have similar or higher strength, bonding, and expansion ratio to steel, but they do not corrode and are non magnetic.  In tunneling application like underground “soft-eyes”, hospital’s MRI room, structures in severe choride attack area, FRP rebars offer the best economical and practical alternative to stainless or carbon steel.
