Oman Botanic Garden, Oman
The Oman Botanic Garden is a 423-hectare project in Muscat, Oman, dedicated to cultivating, studying, and conserving the country’s native flora in a sustainable way while showcasing its plant-related cultural traditions.
The garden will feature native plant species in a series of recreated habitats, ranging from arid deserts to lush monsoon cloud forests.
Dextra supplied Sonitec for crosshole sonic logging (CSL) testing to assess the structural integrity and homogeneity of concrete within bored piles, which were drilled 17-30 meters deep at the garden’s building site.
A total of 20,000 tubes were installed with ease, thanks to their enlarged bell-mouth design, which enables fast and seamless connections.
Once completed, the Oman Botanic Garden will be one of the largest botanical gardens in the world.
